Temptation, Sin and Pastries.

Paczki (or Paczek) the Polish doughnut of guilty pleasures.  The overwhelming desire to buy and eat them all is too much to handle.  Then again, I could always convert to Catholicism and live for Fat Tuesday.
But that's not all.  My homework is piling up and all I want to do is hide out in my room and write.  That temptation is much more pleasing (and healthier).

Though, this all got me thinking about the seven deadly sins.   The seven deadly sins include: lust, gluttony, greed, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride.  While we can all agreed to the lust part, maybe the greed and sloth...okay, we're guilty of all of them, gluttony isn't one I think I fall into.  But as soon as those Paczki's come out I go mad.  I know, all it is is a jelly filled doughnut that I can get any other time of the year.  But it's around this time of year, when lent is coming up, that it seems okay to eat them.

In society we are pushed to eat healthy and avoid junk food.  But when this time of year comes up anyone can use the excuse of Fat Tuesday to fall for the temptation.  Personally, I love the raspberry and strawberry filled ones, though I need to try an apple filled one.  So go out and fall to the temptation of your inner gluttony, hey, it's only once a year.  Go treat yourself.  I give my permission.

Signed, The Carnivorous Rabbit.
